“This selection of works is about rediscovering myself and unlearning what I have learned about the nature of who I am. My work is a search for self-acceptance and love. Processing shame and trauma that has started to pile up, in which vulnerability is my strength.”

Kasper Tinus (1991) visual artist, but more importantly a human being. His art is a form of self-expression of his daily life. Frustration, sadness and setbacks are the bottlenecks that he questions and incorporates into his work. These themes are subject to social debates about gender, masculinity, whiteness, class and mental health. His images contain references from art history and his immediate environment and thus form different layers in how Kasper Tinus tells his story.

The exhibition 'KASPER WITHOUT EXCUSE' can be visited from 2 September to 2 November 22 at Details.
